30-Day Risk Free Trial!

It's a short post for today. Miss Kitty from Educated and Poor and the Ironic Catholic have been sending me some good stuff, but I saw this on a car today, and I could not resist.

Wouldn't that be great if salvation had a free trial period?

---

Now for a limited time only, take advantage of our thirty day in-home trial! You pay only shipping and handling fees. Experience the joys and security of salvation through Jesus Christ with no commitment, no obligations, no pressure! If at the end of your trial period you're not completely satisfied, simply send Him back! And don't worry, the devil will always take you back.

---

To the makers of this bumper sticker, who obviously don't believe in eternal security, I have only one thing to say, courtesy of our friend Lex Luthor.

(Warning: If you have not seen Superman Returns, you will not understand this.)

Funny...I saw this same slogan, but in a different font & design, on a bumper sticker the other day at Wal-Mart (figures). And I almost ran my car into it, it hacked me off so much. :-)

Really? I sent you something?

My first senior moment. I'm so touched.

I'm pretty sure you did.

Maybe it's my senior moment...then again, I wouldn't be forgetting anything. I'd just be making stuff up.

How about a bumper sticker that reads "Try Satan! If you don't like him, Jesus will always take you back"?

I love the blog that you have. I was wondering if you would link my blog to yours and in return I would do the same for your blog. If you want to, my site name is American Legends and the URL is:

www.americanlegends.blogspot.com

If you want to do this just go to my blog and in one of the comments just write your blog name and the URL and I will add it to my site.

Thanks,
David

I actually think that this one is smarter than you give it credit for. They, like the marketing folks they are emulating, know that once they sucker you in for the free trial, you're not going to bother to cancel.

Diesel,
Throw in the ginsu knives and 6 months of free internet & I'll think about it.
